In 2018, the Village of Moencopi (Lower) supported the completion of a feasibility study to determine if a hydroponics business might be feasible at the Village.
The feasibility study came back with encouraging results, indicating that if certain conditions and assumptions were met, the Village could create jobs and support such business activity, providing fresh food products throughout Hopi and Northern Arizona.
